BaZi Ten Gods guide
Seven Killings in BaZi: The Warrior
Qi Sha · 七杀 · an Officer star, one of the Ten Gods
Seven Killings, Qi Sha (七杀), is an Officer star. Officer is the element that controls your Day Master, and Seven Killings is the one with the same polarity. For Jia Wood, Geng Metal is Seven Killings, because Metal cuts Wood. It is also called the Indirect Officer (偏官).
Seven Killings stands for pressure, challenge, power and courage. Control between two stems of the same polarity is harsh and direct, so this star feels like a hard test rather than a polite rule. People with a strong, well-handled Seven Killings are often bold, decisive and protective: leaders who rise in a crisis, fierce competitors, and people who take charge when others freeze.

What the name means
七 means seven and 杀 means to kill. Count the ten stems starting from your own: the seventh one is your Seven Killings. For Jia, the count runs Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, and Geng Metal is the stem that cuts Jia Wood. The dramatic name describes intensity, not danger. Classical texts often read a well-controlled Seven Killings as a sign of authority and achievement.
Which stem is your Seven Killings?
It depends on your Day Master. Find yours in the first column. The branches listed hold that stem as their main hidden stem, so in your chart they carry the same Ten God.

When it helps, and when it is too much
No Ten God is good or bad on its own. What decides is the strength of your Day Master and what else is in the chart.
When the Seven Killings helps
Seven Killings becomes power when it is controlled or transformed. There are two classic ways. The Eating God restrains it (食神制杀), turning pressure into skilled action. Resource transforms it (杀印相生), turning pressure into learning and support for the Day Master. A strong Day Master can also face it directly. Charts like these often belong to people who earn authority by meeting hard challenges.
When there is too much
When the Day Master is weak and Seven Killings is strong and unchecked, the pressure lands on you: stress, harsh bosses, heavy demands and a sense of being pushed from every side. Classical texts take this balance seriously. The remedies are the same as above: Resource to transform the pressure, Output to restrain it, and Companion stars to share the load.
Career and work style
Seven Killings is the star of high-stakes work: emergency and protective services, the military, security, surgery and emergency medicine, competitive sports, turnaround management and entrepreneurship in tough markets. These people usually prefer real challenge to comfortable routine.
They do best where authority is earned and the rules are clear. Pressure without direction wears them down; pressure with a purpose brings out their best. Mentors and training, the Resource star, are what turn raw nerve into lasting authority.

Love and relationships
In love, Seven Killings brings intensity and protectiveness. Partners often feel safe with you. The risk is control, jealousy, or treating disagreements as battles. Traditionally, in a woman’s chart, the Officer stars stand for the partner, and Seven Killings for an intense, forceful partner or a less conventional relationship. A balanced modern reading: you are drawn to strength, so choose strength that is also kind.
Money
Seven Killings is not a money star itself, but Wealth produces it, so money and pressure often arrive together: high-paying, high-stress work, or wealth earned by taking on what others avoid. The useful habit is protecting your energy and savings for the next challenge instead of spending both on the current one.
Classic combinations
Classical BaZi texts name a few patterns that involve the Seven Killings. Each describes how two stars interact, not a fixed outcome.
