Why your birth minute matters
The Hour pillar changes every two hours, and the Day pillar can change at 11 PM. Many free calculators ignore daylight saving time and use your time zone's clock instead of the sun, so the hour can come out wrong.
We apply both corrections for your exact birthplace, then calculate your pillars with a precise Chinese calendar engine, including the solar terms that start each BaZi month.
Questions
What is BaZi?
BaZi means "eight characters". The year, month, day and hour of your birth are each written as a pair of Chinese characters, one Heavenly Stem and one Earthly Branch. Those eight characters describe the balance of five elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water) at your birth. The Day pillar's stem, your Day Master, represents you.
How is this different from my Chinese zodiac sign?
Your zodiac animal comes from your birth year only, so millions of people share it. BaZi uses all four pillars plus your 10-year luck cycles, so two people born a few hours apart can have quite different charts.
I don't know my birth time. Can I still get a reading?
Yes. Tick "I don't know my birth time" and we read your Year, Month and Day pillars. You lose the Hour pillar, which mostly describes later life and children, but the core of the chart is still there.
Who writes the report?
Your chart is calculated by a precise calendar engine, never guessed. The report text is then written by AI from your calculated chart, following a structured BaZi method, so every statement is tied to a real feature of your chart.
Is this a prediction of my future?
No. BaZi describes tendencies and timing. Treat it as a tool for reflection, not a verdict. It is not medical, legal or financial advice.
